Obituary
STEVENS, Allen Richard - Passed peacefully away after a brief battle with cancer at the Health Science Center on Wednesday, December 24, 2008. Predeceased by Parents: James and Lily Stevens; brother: Tom; sister: Shirley Elliott and brother-in-law: Lewis. Leaving to mourn are his loving and devoted wife of 60 years: Phyllis (nee Melbourne); son: James (Carol); grandchildren: Geoffrey and Jason Stevens; sister: Audrey Mercer; brother: Frank (Florence); brother-in-law: Rev. Boyce Elliott; sisters-in-law: Roberta Warfield (Tom) and Mary Reynolds, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Sunday, December 28th, 2008 from 10 -12 Noon, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral service to take place on Monday, December 29th, 2008 at 11 AM from Gower Street United Church. Interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Allen’s memory may be made to Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre.
