Obituary
MERCER, Mr. Frank Gordon - Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, October 10, 2005, of Bay Roberts, age 91 years, police veteran having served with the Newfoundland Constabulary, Newfoundland Ranger Force and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Predeceased by brothers Lloyd (Muriel), Lewis, Hayward (Susan) & Harry, sister Jean (Stan) Bradbury and brothers-in-law Rick Marginson, Adrian Hierlihy & Ron French. Leaving to mourn wife Ada, sons: Frank (Betty) Mercer, Gordon (Hyacinth) Mercer, Barry (Lorraine) Mercer; daughter Diane (Patrick) Foley; sisters: Florence Marginson, Doris Henderson, Bertha Hierlihy, Helen French; brother Pearce Mercer; sister-in-law Beulah Mercer; six grandchildren: Christopher, Stephen, Zachary, Benjamin, Dennis, Laura-Lee; two great-grandchildren: Caitlin & Ella; Special little neighbour Peter and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Moore's Funeral Home, Bay Roberts. Visitation Wednesday 10 - 12 noon; 2 - 5 P.M.; 7 - 9 P.M. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, October 13, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. from St. Matthew's Anglican Church, Bay Roberts. Inurnment in the St. Matthew's Anglican Cemetery, Bay Roberts. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA or a charity of one's choice.
