SMITH, Harold Vernon Earle- (1912-2007) - Passed peacefully away on March 6, 2007 at his home, 2 days prior to his 95th birthday, Harold Vernon Earle Smith. Predeceased by his wife Dorothy, April, 2006. He had a full and active life being #04 of the Nfld. Rangers, Nfld. Chief Fire Ranger, WWII Radar Operator for the Canadian and British Navy and Retired Chief of Protection and Conservation with the Federal Department of Fisheries. Leaving to mourn with loving memories, daughters: Lois Aubut and husband Mike Higdon, Lynda Tock (Ben Barbour); grandchildren: Danielle Aubut, Stacey Tock, Cory Tock, Ashley Tock and Vickey Tock. His remains has been donated to Medial Science as per his wishes. Visitation to be held from Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial service will be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Cancer Society.
