BRAGG, James Robert, Sr. (retired Detective, Metropolitan Toronto Police) After a long, courageous battle with heart disease, James Robert Bragg, Sr. passed away at North York General Hospital on Tuesday, January 22, 2002, with his family at his side. He leaves his wife and best friend of over 50 years, Leon. He was a loving and supportive father to James Jr., Janet and her husband Wayne Welter, Lynda and her husband Fraser Lawrason. He was the proud grandfather of Cole, Jordan, Scott and Sean. Dear brother of Audrey Field. Family and friends will be received at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A. W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, January 25. Service in the chapel on Saturday, January 26 at one o'clock. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North York General Hospital Foundation, 4001 Leslie Street, Toronto M2K 1E1, or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, 1920 Yonge Street, 4th Floor, Toronto M4S 3E2.
