Obituary
FAGAN, John J. - 1919 - 2011 - Proud member of the Newfoundland Rangers; former superintendant of H.M. Penitentiary and Director of Corrections for Atlantic Canada. Passed peacefully away on Thursday, January 13th, 2011 at the Health Science Centre. John J. Fagan age 91 years. Predeceased by his brothers Jim (Kathleen), Dick and sister Nell (Jack Trainor). Leaving to mourn his wife Rita; daughter Maureen (Ed Taylor); brother Bren (Florence Doody), NB; sisters: Margaret (Steve Manning - deceased), Mary (Danny Nadon - deceased), Ont,, Sheila (Mike Nolan), Avondale; sisters-in-law: Bernie Fagan, Theresa Moores, Ottawa and Millie (Dave Baker), as well as a large number of special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially those at Goodlife Fitness, Avalon Mall. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Friday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, January 15th, 2011 from St. Pius X Church at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the Memorial University of Newfoundland, Newfoundland Rangers Force Scholarship Fund at Office Alumni Affairs and Development, 20 Lambe's Lane, St. John's, NL A1C 5S7
