Obituary

SQUIRES, Malcolm- Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on June 20, 2004, Malcolm Squires, aged 87 years, member #115 of the Newfoundland Ranger Force and retired Superintendent of Her Majesty's Penitentiary. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Vera; his children: Malcolm (Andrea), Ruth (Bruce Pike), Wilfred (Rosalie), David (Bernice), Carol Ann (Terry Evans), Nancy (Ern Benson); cherished grandchildren: Ian, Robyn and Colin Squires; Susan and Jillian Pike; Sarah Jane Squires; David Evans; Adam and Jody Benson; special friends: Lori Parnell, Gerald Pumphrey and Alvin Elliott; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 from the Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are being gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Parkinson Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
